LOL, but in all seriousness, this is a hell of a deal and more than $100 off. Home Depot selling 8 foot studs for $3.35 right now, and when you "spend" the Menards rebate, you don't pay sales tax on the part of the purchase made with rebate check. So in my mind, this is about $143 off of $343 worth of studs.

And in my experience, you should only have to check about 20 in the pile to find one even remotely straight!

Menards is fine if you buy 294 at a time and get a whole bundle that hasn't been picked through repeatedly. Home Depot is pretty awful and you have to sort it in store and then take it to the check out in small batches at they don't let you pull your truck or trailer into the store. Can't speak to Lowe's but I imagine they don't let you drive in either

In my area their dimensional lumber and hardwood is vastly superior to the other choices. All studs suck everywhere at these big box stores.

Thanks! I never knew and never thought about it.

Sadly, I think i need 2x4x10 ft for basement though. The height to basement joist is about 8 ft and 10 inches from ground.
