I loved these as a kid, but damn as a 34 year old, this ingredient list scares me:

Sugar, Corn Syrup, Dried Corn Syrup, Pear Puree Concentrate, Modified Corn Starch, Fructose, Maltodextrin, Palm Oil. Contains 2% of less of: Cottonseed Oil, Glycerin, Grape Juice Concentrate, Carrageenan, Citric Acid, Monoglycerides, Sodium Citrate, Malic Acid, Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), Natural Flavor, Potassium Citrate, Agar-Agar, Xanthan Gum, Color (red 40, blue 1, yellow 5 & 6)

Not trying to fear monger, but ingredients like this are why people have gut issues, high cholesterol, pre diabetic markers, and chronic inflammation. As much as I love candy and ingested my fair share in my childhood and young adulthood, I gave all that up and never looked back

What specific ingredients from this list concern you the most? Are these worse than Coke or Pepsi products? Red Bull? Same type of ingredients as gummy bears or worse? Honestly I'm interested in your take on this, just want more details.

It's sugar in various forms, we already know it's bad for you. It's candy after all.

The worst of it would be the corn syrup. Palm oil is highly processed and has been linked to inflammation and cancer. The rest of the ingredients are mostly fillers, which aren't necessarily unhealthy by themselves, but definitely not stuff that I would want to put into my body just for a sugar rush. Sodas that you mentioned have high fructose corn syrup, which is just a terrible thing in general

Always love to see the inevitable comments on how bad these items are for health on these types of deals. What if i told you you can eat gushers and drink soda and still be healthy if you consume a balanced diet and exercise regularly?

Your opinions on how nutrition should be approached have no bearing on whether something is a good deal or not, which this website is about. Rant over.
