Ya know, I knew SDers could be dicks, but a bunch of you really take the cake. Stop using the perceived feminization of things or calling a guy a woman as an insult. It's effing not. There is nothing wrong with being with a woman. There is nothing wrong with a guy riding a Tiffany blue bicycle with a slanted bar. There is nothing wrong with a guy wearing a pink polo or a pink blouse. Clothes and bicycles and colors don't have gender. Just stop being assholes. Women are not here to be used as your insults. Grow up.
The different crossbars haven't made sense to me since I was in grade school, 40 years ago. Like, I was told about the dresses thing but my reaction was, why didn't they just make the women's angled crossbar standard for everyone? Surely no one cares. But lo and behold here are people talking about men giving up their dignity if the crossbar is slanty. It makes as much sense to me as gendered forks or packing tape.

Battery capacity is 5ah (180wh). 10s2p pack. (Really hard info to find)

I wouldn't use this for anything farther than 3 miles from home and back.

It's so cheap, it will pay for itself replacing a week of daily ubers. Even if it gets stolen in the city I won't be too sad. I refuse to lock up my $7,500 ebike in the city, but this? Sure. Basically disposable.

Why do you refuse to lock up your $7500 bike? Locks are pretty cheap insurance

Not that this bike is worth the upgrade investment but the battery can be upgraded. Single speed means just that. Would be a decent starter ebike if you want to tote around locally with minimal effort.

In regards to expensive ebikes and not wanting to go anywhere the bike would be left unattended while locked, in major cities there seems to always be a scumbag that wants what you have. If it's a reference to a decent lock with an insurance disclaimer attached to it, read that insurance disclaimer. You'll see nearly every single lock sold with an "insurance" disclaimer attached is null and void by default. It only covers a failure of the lock itself by manufacturer defect and the lock itself must be presented to the manufacturer for review.

I don't know much about ebikes in general, didn't see any info on Hurley website about parts or replacement batteries. Are batteries for ebikes proprietary and hard to replace, or are they more universal and easier to replace?
Am aware that each company varies in how they do it. Any links to upgrade or replacement batteries ?
I ordered one of these based on the different Hurley model ebike I bought from Woot a few weeks back. Put it together and seems to work Ok. Have only ridden it a few miles due to cold temps.

It's a rabbit hole of research. Get the battery amps and output, battery connection port type, and start searching. There is also the option of swapping out the entire battery connection to use a different type of battery. But again, this is an entry level ebike. You'll find the initial investment plus the added costs of upgrades is right there with an all around better ebike with added gears, suspension, throttle and pedal assist...
