I just bought these from Apple directly. Does anybody know if Apple will price match?

I have heard from other SDers that they can, but you need to do the request by phone. YMMV. Reply with your result.

If you're on SD, what's the point of buying anything directly from Apple? Engraving? Unless you're getting gift cards for 20-22% off from gc sales.

"Get 30% off eligible products when using Membership Rewards points.
Maximum discount $30." That's weird only has 30% off on my Amazon website

You need to have amex with points rewards (not cash back) and put it as a payment in amazon. Then enroll into the promotion on amazon. Or just google "amex amazon 40% off".

Edit...well, I guess this is a repost. Searching for airpods didn't work the first time.

I know these have been this price before, but didn't see this posted recently.

Does apple ever match these sales on their website? Everyone is doing $200 but I am sitting here with a $50 apple gift card I would like to burn up.

No. Never. The Apple Store is always going to sell them at full msrp. As a manufacturer, there are many complications that arise from undercutting your resellers. Just make sure the place you’re buying from is an official Apple reseller and it should be the same as buying from Apple themselves. Even though the Amazon seller in this case is Apple, I still get that 1% doubt in my head that I could receive a counterfeit product or something not as good as a new product. I usually just wait for Costco to put this on sale and then buy it.

I'm glad to see these are pretty commonly seen around $200 now. If that's a common price, then that gives me hope for a nice holidays deal later on the year.

My refurbished first gen airpod pros are also still working just fine after 1.5 years of heavy use though and I don't want to give up on those just yet so.. I can wait Smilie

In the past, I've heard of counterfeit apple products on Amazon. I'm thinking that was probably an issue involving third-party sellers and not "shipped from/sold by Amazon" directly. Can anybody with knowledge on the subject share their thoughts? I'd really like to purchase a pair (that's not fake). Thanks 😊

I’ve purchased a pair of counterfeit off of FB that were heavily discounted. They were nearly identical matches and the sound quality was actually quite good. ANC never works on counterfeits when enabled though. Also, the warranty will not be valid if you check on your iPhone.

Fulfilled doesn't mean sold by Amazon. Amazon has the Apple Store that sells them at this price. https://urlhasbeenblocked.com/4mee7v4x Target has this price and you can get an extra 5% off with their red card. Same price as Best Buy. Don't know of additional Best Buy discounts.

It can be both. For example, scammer orders Apple product from Amazon. Receives it and then replace the content with counterfeit product, seals it back up and returns to Amazon. Overworked and unhappy Amazon warehouse worker does the bare minimum check, returns the product back to the shelf and another Amazon customer places an order and receives counterfeit product.
