As others above have said, same price at BestBuy [bestbuy.com] and Target [target.com] to avoid issues with used/returns, or just plain counterfeit items at amazon. BestBuy for apple products so far has been issue free for me.

B&H denied a price match request where with PayBoo would have made it an even better deal to avoid the ~$20 in tax.

My Airpods Pro 1st gen was manufactured before 2019. (you could check in Apple support page) they have a free airpods pro service program where you could replace the airpods for free. I had already replaced one of my right buds for crackling sound. Wondering if I should do it again and then trade it? What's the trade-in value for the Airpods Pro 1st gen in Apple store?

No. Never. The Apple Store is always going to sell them at full msrp. As a manufacturer, there are many complications that arise from undercutting your resellers. Just make sure the place you're buying from is an official Apple reseller and it should be the same as buying from Apple themselves. Even though the Amazon seller in this case is Apple, I still get that 1% doubt in my head that I could receive a counterfeit product or something not as good as a new product. I usually just wait for Costco to put this on sale and then buy it.

It can be both. For example, scammer orders Apple product from Amazon. Receives it and then replace the content with counterfeit product, seals it back up and returns to Amazon. Overworked and unhappy Amazon warehouse worker does the bare minimum check, returns the product back to the shelf and another Amazon customer places an order and receives counterfeit product.

You can buy $200 worth of Target gift cards at GiftCardgranma or CardBear for $180

Then just buy the Airpods at Target for $200 using the Target gift cards.

For $200 you can get a choice set of wired-earbuds that will last much longer than 2-3 years.

Can't believe people are still trying to make this comparison in the year of our lord 2023.

Anyway, just got the Gen 2s after using the 1s for years, the sound quality is miles better, and the battery life is much better as well. The ANC is noticeably improved but not to the same amount that the sound quality is.
