Was about to purchase until I saw an Amazon review mentioning that it isn't HomeKit compatible.

For those of us out of the loop, what's the advantage of the home base at all? I have 3 eufy cameras right now but no home base.

I searched and also asked support if there had been any firmware/software updates. No, there haven't been. From reviews on Amazon, it has nice features promised, but with rough edges. Thats why I was interested in software updates.

I'll wait for an update and fresh reviews.

It holds a 2.5" SATA drive for expandable storage (as opposed to hooking up a USB drive which clutters the countertop). Also supposedly better AI? Neither is a must have if you're just using it for battery doorbells like I am, but it was around this price for Black Friday so I figured why not? Well that was a screw up - as of now the S380 does not support Video Doorbell 2K Dual Views which I have, so it's still sitting in the box. As of now, if you have the HomeBase 2 it's probably not worth the upgrade.

Should i get this? I just start investing into the Eufy ecosystem.

I have the Floodlight Cam, the wifi doorbell; and 2 door locks (one is not wifi unless i add homebase).

If they keep delaying camera model support for this, they're going to have to sell it for $50. I used to love their cameras, butt he company has turned into a dumpster fire the past month... Their wired IndoorCams have several major bugs after a new app update/firmware 3 weeks ago, and the only thing support says is, maybe they can fix it in another two to three weeks, and taking that with a grain of salt means they may never bother fixing it, since they can't bother rolling back the firmware update after three weeks of the cameras barely working.

Store video clips on the HomeBase as opposed to on the cameras themselves. Also, theft detection alarm, if you're inclined to use that feature.

i've been using Eufy ecosystem for 2 years and looking to get out. Main issues are false notifications and ads in Eufy app.

Supposedly you can disable the ads in the app somewhere in settings...

I seriously wonder how many camera motion event clips it can save/handle at the same time though... Like if a car drives past, will it be able to handle uploading motion clips from eight of the 2K wired indoor cams at the same time?

I bought the 2500lumen one but haven't set up yet (need to install junction box first)

I have a flood light works great. Only issue for me, no continuous recording feature. If camera doesn't detect motion, events are missed. Mostly happens at night and I missed few key events.
