I need to build a concrete patio. Can this be used to create dowels in the foundation of the house?

Is your house foundation made of metal, aluminum, plaster, drywall, wood, and wood with nails?

If your foundation is concrete this will not work

One of these might work-

be careful to get the type of drill bit that will fit what you already have.
Good luck on your project!

You'll want a SDS (or SDS plus) hammer drill and the SDS bits. There are cheap ones on Amazon and at Harbor Freight that are ok for occasional home use.

The 1/4 hex bits above aren't really for a large job like you're doing.

Watch some youtube videos.

Ur gonna need an sds for that, or prepare for a long time for each foundation hole drilled with regular hammer drill, plus worn out /broken bits

I wonder if there is a reason this thing is always on clearance? I have it and got it for $29 and wasn't too impressed with the locking mechanism onto the drill. The hole saw kept unscrewing itself during use… 🤔 anybody else have this same issue with these?
