i got an email (and also a postcard) upgrading me to mvp status for the rest of the year (starting today). i'm not sure where to see the actual number anymore but i know i'm very far from the spend requirement, so not sure how they are targeting people for this.

the email subject was "We appreciate you...you've been upgraded to MVC status!" in case it helps

Yes. I quite often pay with ALL gift card/merch return card, and full discount is applied. But, I do have my Kohls card selected as preferred form of payment in my account,,(I do not know if that matters…. Probably doesn't.). I just always change it during final checkout. And,.. works in store without anything special being done.
