I bought some shoes to wear to a wedding, but they arrived too late. I will be at Kohl's tomorrow to return them, but my $5 reward was issued today.
Do I return the shoes, get my refund, then spend the monthly reward which will be reduced by $1.92?
Or if I spend the $5 first, then return the shoes, will my rewards balance go negative? Or will that amount be deducted from my return? I'm fine with a negative balance, but I do want to get the full value for my return.

No. Next weekend is the tiered dollar off offer I mentioned above. Following weekend is a friends & family. Labor Day weekend historically is a $10 off $25 coupon. So probably not until the second or third weekend of September.
