Controllers Compatible with Amazon Luna
Check if your controller is compatible with Luna.

Luna Controller
PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Wireless Controller
Xbox One Controller
Mouse and keyboard
If anyone cares, I just updated my Stadia controller to use Bluetooth and it works perfect with Luna. Feels wrong, but man, this was an easier transition than I thought.
I've been trialing Luna for a few weeks and actually like it a lot. My Ubisoft games are available so I'm playing through some. I have cellular internet and other than the occasional latency spike, I forget I'm playing a cloud version. I use a usb wired Xbox controller and even get the rumble feedback.

I updated my Google Stadia controller to Bluetooth and I was able to pair it w/ my Fire TV. Used it to play the Luna games.

This only works for Ubisoft PC game purchases not console.
This is because Ubisoft doesn't have the play anywhere type of features that Microsoft has for some of their games. It's rare that you get a PC version of a game if you buy the console version.

Thanks for the link. I was going to search for it. This is great. I have two stadia controller which became free after Google refunded the stadia premiere bundle.

personally I really don't want to buy an expensive controller just to play generic games. I feel like apple arcade is a better deal at $5 since you don't need a controller but it mostly sucks also.
You picked a good name then lol

I remembered playing Contra during Amazon Luna launch and input desync made it impossible to play back then. Has there been any improvements?
I can't speak to performance changes over time.

I played a little Far Cry on the service and was happy with the performance. I didn't even really think about playing using the cloud instead of locally. I also tried Metal Slug and was less impressed. It was playable, but not that enjoyable.

I feel like run and guns like Contra and Metal Slug may not be the ideal game for this kind of service. Lag really matters, I have multiple copies of them already and they can run on low powered portable hardware. I don't need Luna for that. Games like Far Cry make a lot more sense to me. They are a little more forgiving on lag for someone of my skill level, I don't have to install a huge game or worry about whether my PC is powerful enough, etc.

So this isn't like the free prime giveaways - it's just free to play via their cloud service, not something I can install locally and play in 4k60Hz etc? (specifically WRC generations)?

Amazon Prime Luna is probably pretty good if you have a strong internet connection, but mine is spotty. So when I played Yakuza, there were a lot of slow downs, and I even got disconnected altogether. It's a good idea in theory, but it might not work out well for everyone.
Yeah, these game streaming services only make sense if we didn't have ISP duopolies in the US, where the ISPs have agreed to fiefdoms where they don't compete with each other for the higher speed broadband offerings. It gets even worse in places like Canada. This is one reason a lot of people are clamoring for municipal broadband internet, whether or not it works and is actually cheap is another story with both successes and failures

You are correct, you can't claim and own them forever like the giveaways.

Same. Spotty internet with bandwidth caps makes cloud streaming a novelty product for me rather than a true platform, but i like the idea.

Just FYI... Amazon Luna lets you play your games from GOG, Ubisoft or Epic when you link your account. Not all games available but worth it if you're into it.
