Do you think it's worth upgrading from AW6 at this price?
No. I didn't even want to upgrade from my 4. It works perfect and battery still lasts over a day. After sitting on it for a few days, I decided to upgrade only because I want cellular as I go on runs without my phone and now I can walk around my neighborhood/go to gym without having to take my phone with me.

To add to that, I always thought the cheapest plan for cellular was $10. Apparently Tmobile charges $5 with autopay which sealed the deal for me.

Apple has more recently deprioritized apple watch processor development in favor of focusing on their apple silicon transition (M1, M2). AW6 to AW8 should be similar in performance/battery life, minus battery health/degradation issues and additional sensors. Hopefully they'll actually upgrade their processor in AW9 from their 3yo 7nm chip to 5nm like in M1/2 and IP14Pros.

2015 AW0
2016 AW1/2 +50%
2017 AW3 +70%
2018-19 AW4, AW5, SE1 +100% (same processor, repackaged)
2020-22 AW6, AW7, AW8, SE2, AWU +20% (same processor, repackaged)

No. The whole ecg crap is fun for the first 10 minutes then you'll never use it again
Unless somebody is one of the unlucky few who takes the ECG for the first time and it reports back letting them know that they have an issue with their heart and they should get it checked out by a doctor.

I got the Apple Watch 7 last week and of course, one of the first things I tried when I got it was to take the ECG test, but luckily, it reported back to me that my readings were normal.

Do you have Magenta plan thats why its $5?

I have Att unlimited started
4 lines x ($35+ ~$10tax) =$180

I will think about going to Tmobile if they have a promo on iPhones like port in to get free iPhone then get $5/month in watch. Btw is the data slow on the watch? How is the call clarity?

Just read it, Magenta required. 500mb is not much but would data be used if your tracking a workout or only when making call/text?

Also will data be disabled if used up all 500mb?

Yeah we have magenta max. I just ordered the watch today so I can't answer your questions. But from what I read on Reddit the cheapest plan is fine for directions and streaming music.

500mb includes unlimited calls and texts. After 500mb, your speed will slow down to 128kbps (unlimited).
