Requires credit card even though they won't charge it

Tmobile 90 day trial is better
Ryan Reynolds is trying to pull a fast one here! Offering only 30 days as a T-Mobile MVNO, when T-Mobile directly is offering 90 days free

They're offering 1 month free on any plan, even unlimited, so you can choose whichever you want, not just the 4GB one. Works out to $30 off the unlimited (which is really 35GB) plan.
Good point.

I am thrilled to have this information. Of course the curious part of me is also interested in how you have managed 6 months.

Anyway, thanks.

I switched from Visible to Mint in like September 2021. I liked it a lot, but they changed the referral program last year at the end of August. It used to be great (10 referrals / year, totaling $240 for 5 referrals [25+30+35+40+110 for 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th, and then it would reset after 5]) but now you can only get 4 referrals per year, and it's based off the plan they choose.

I will stick with them as long as my credits last, and keep getting referrals. But I will probably try to swap out once my credit is all used up. The service is faster than Verizon, but I find I have to turn airplane mode on and off once every couple days because the service will randomly just stop working.

Changing mine away from Mint as soon as I get home from my trip. Service is meh in my area, better than old Sprint but can't compare to even total wireless which uses Verizon towers. The whole area sucks, that means 2 hour drive north or south from my house is all garbage coverage. Travelling in PA and in big city or rural area still poor performance. Never again. I will waste the 3 months I have left on my account but I can't stand the shitty service.

I may try this on my old Pixel 2 XL (that I actually ordered from Mint a couple of years ago) to see how the coverage is around the area. Thanks, OP!
i was told it has to be an LTE phone. not sure if a 7 year old phone has that capability.

I tried Mint a few months ago with their holiday BOGO offer.
Decent service, but no one could figure out why I couldn't get 2FA to work with my bank (PNC) or why I no longer got transaction alerts from my credit cards (CITI)

I signed up with ATT for the $300/12 month plan, and everything works.

YMMV

Does it have to be a phone or will that Alcatel Linkzone hotspot from the Boost offer work if it's been unlocked? (or will unlocked ones work with any phone plan?)

just curious .. in case of locked phones ,is the whole phone locked to the carrier or just the primary sim slot ? thinking to activate this as a second line if it works..
The phones locked to the carrier. In some cases you can call the carrier and get it unlocked to all carrier for a decent fee.

Ridiculously delayed and slow data when over data limit. Requests for data take 30s or more to be processed.
