If activated outside of this window it turns into standard 7 day 250 talk/text/data trial.
Or just download the regular mint mobile app

T-Mobile doesn't need port in, that said T-Mobile is eSIM only, they don't ship physical sim cards.
Mint is looser with limits; T-Mobile does enhanced verification based on IMEI and physical address to confirm you haven't used them in the past. Mint not so much.
Some do dual esim, some do dual physical sim; while others do 1 esim and 1 physical sim active at the same time.
I've been able to do it a few times in the past, but it's not worth the effort and hours of customer support calls/chat to do it. T-Mo has changed internal systems to further restrict porting out these free numbers when they switched from 30 day to 90 day free trial.

HOWEVER yoster in post # 17 here said: "I do it on old phones. Did it the other day, and they give you a number." He was responding to a comment about TM, but I think he must have been referring to the Mint deal.
If I am correct, the TM deal really is not equivalent to either the US Mobile 100 day deal or the Mint free month deal.
Another data point about Mint.....for a couple of years now they have offered a similar 7 day free trial. However you absolutely could NOT get the new number they assign for porting out. (I am sure some folks were able to wrangle it away from customer service but it was virtually impossible for us mere mortals). So, I am pretty sure that if you try Mint for 30 days with a new number, it will likely not be available to port out.
So, anyone with a better understanding, let's have it!!

Sorry, just saw it was already mentioned
First port was on a weekday evening. Second one was Sunday late morning. Not sure if that made any difference. US Mobile team was very helpful. They mentioned VZ releasing the phone number taking time. Both eSIM activations on two iPhone 13.
Technically it is Verizon (Visible) to Verizon, but still eligible for the free trial as it's ported in.
