Requires credit card even though they won't charge it

Tmobile 90 day trial is better
Ryan Reynolds is trying to pull a fast one here! Offering only 30 days as a T-Mobile MVNO, when T-Mobile directly is offering 90 days free

Don't do it. If you use empty credit card, They could blacklist your phone...you failed to cancel before the first month end.
So you would have a paper weight.
Mint's free trial page specifically says:

No commitmint
We call it a free trial because it's a free trial. Not a "free for now but make sure you cancel it before it automatically charges you a ton of money" trial.
Seriously…why do companies still do that?

You are right, thanks! I've edited my post. The $45 price was offered to me after the 7 day free trial (with $2 SIM bought at Target), but it's a new customer discount which I would assume can't be combined with this free month offer.
They do have an interesting option - instead of signing up for a free month, you an sign up for 3 months for $30. Which is an intro of $15 per month for 3 moths with 1 month free. For those who are sure they want to stay with Mint and be on 4Gb plan, This is a better deal.

Mint, in general, is pretty good with assorted intro promos. My only real issue with them has been their junk fees and periodic international roaming issue that is usually taken care of by a chat with customer service.

Are you sure? This is what i read under their FAQs... "T-Mobile Network Pass allows you to try T-Mobile's network for up to three months for free, while keeping your existing service with your current carrier."
I didnt port in a number for free service with Tmobile. USMobile needs to port in.

Is it just me, or does it feel like there are very few good deals for light data users (<2Gb/mo)?

I remember seeing Tello deals all the time, as well as sometimes good RP deals, but not anymore. Has this market become more consolidated and way less competitive?

Are you saying mint allows you to port out the free number? T mobile doesn't, us mobile doesn't, not sure if any other free offers allow you to.
I also would like to know if you can port out the free number.

Wow... Has anyone ever posted this before? That's a great deal if you have decent T-Mobile coverage where you live

Not so sure if they'll let you port out during the free trail, but I could be wrong.

Safer bet is something like this : https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=6484740

Just my .02 nod

Huge thumbs up for Mint.

Switched from ATT to Mint last November.

I was surprised that I was getting more reliable connection through Mint.. I used to lose connection from home often with ATT.. I have not lost single connection from home since November (using the same phone)

If you only have 1 phone, ATT will rip you off.. I used to pay $60/month. Now I'm paying $20/month with more data..
Always a YMMV due to location. I use the At&t network on Boost and I like the service since better coverage for me in N. CA. I go to Mexico 1-2x a year and the At&t coverage there is great. Big plus is their Mexico plan is only a $5. month add.

No., Minimum is $75 for 3 months. Or $120 for 6 months or $180 a year. I've been Mint customer for about 5 years and it's been pretty decent. I would also pay pretty much anything to not deal with T-Mob customer service, ever.
I've had nothing but great support from the T-Mobile folks. The old sprint support is what drove me to T-Mo about ten years ago. They were truly awful. Sometimes T-Mo offers suck but that's not the Reps fault.

Someone correct me if this is wrong. TMobile Network Pass is a Data Only addition to an existing phone account while you keep your current carrier. It is in the form of esim (for a dual line capable phone, like iPhones 12 and above). You are NOT porting your number in to TM for the trial. You are effectively just getting a second line for data from TM(if you actually get a phone number you can use for voice and texts, it is not clear from the website info). At the end of the trial you can port your original number into TM just like always if you want to, or just move on with your existing service from the carrier you still have.

HOWEVER yoster in post # 17 here said: "I do it on old phones. Did it the other day, and they give you a number." He was responding to a comment about TM, but I think he must have been referring to the Mint deal.

If I am correct, the TM deal really is not equivalent to either the US Mobile 100 day deal or the Mint free month deal.

Another data point about Mint.....for a couple of years now they have offered a similar 7 day free trial. However you absolutely could NOT get the new number they assign for porting out. (I am sure some folks were able to wrangle it away from customer service but it was virtually impossible for us mere mortals). So, I am pretty sure that if you try Mint for 30 days with a new number, it will likely not be available to port out.

So, anyone with a better understanding, let's have it!!

Is the sim automatically activated or can you activate it later? If so how much later if possible.
