Despite the lever arm length, this tiny little compact ratchet head is meant for low torque applications only. It's pretty easy to put too much force on it and break it, but if used within its means it is a great tool for reaching small hard to reach fasteners in an engine bay and I love the locking flex.

Tools are a man's jewelry. You work hard to come up with a use for this to justify the expense, but can't, and you still want it.

So just buy it and hold it, enjoy it. Add it to your collection of odd tools, right next to the bin full of flashlights.

$23.30 Amazon price is a 47% discount, where Home Depot's $24.18 is regular price. Amazon (once again) makes you feel like you're getting a great deal!

Don't confuse the list price with the typical selling price.
The List Price is the suggested retail price of a new product as provided by a manufacturer, supplier, or seller. Except for books, Amazon will display a List Price if the product was purchased by customers on Amazon or offered by other retailers at or above the List Price in at least the past 90 days. List prices may not necessarily reflect the product's prevailing market price.
Personally, I don't care what the crossed out price is. That's not a price that I am ever going to be paying.

Best part about this thing is you can remove the 1/4 drive thing and insert....let's say a torx bit for tight low profile areas. Used this a lot on cars.

Does anyone know if I could replace the internal with matco internal? Similar to the wrench?
No! I know you can trade a broken wrench for a not broken wrench, I do believe it is called a warranty? Aaand, and. AND. It's free for life with most high end, hell even lower end tools.

For hard to reach or tight space, wouldn't you want a higher tooth count?
72 tooth count isn't bad but yeah, 84 would've been much better IMO.

It seems like Amazon's really gone downhill after Bezos moved on. They now have a lot more of posting list prices to look like regular prices. "Sold by Amazon" used to mean you have a better chance of getting non-counterfeit products, but not anymore. Amazon Basics brand used to have more meaning too.

but then there are those times every once in a while that you're missing the right tool for the job and wish you had it.

12" long 1/4" ratchet seems like a paradox
Just use the warranty if the 1/4" drive tears off, ha ha

That Icon set is phenomenal, and very handy. I'd say it's similar but instead of having an extension to lengthen the handle this GEARWRENCH is one solid piece. You also only get a hex to 1/4" drive adapter and none of the bits in a very nice case like that one.

If it helps, Gear Wrench actually held up well in the top spots according to this in-depth test:

I ended up getting the 1/2" model and it sure is nice. I now recommend them!

Thank you for highlighting that, I would've skipped over it. I am buying one right now specifically because of your comment, thanks!!

That specific review is for the 90T 3/8" compact head, which has been merrily greedflationing away since. I hope it winds up being worth what I paid for it.

So, speaking of which, has anyone ran into a situation where they NEEDED the extra length of this over a shorter 1/4" flex-head, or the smaller head size as compared to an extra long 3/8" flex-head?

I'm all for it, but I feel concerned that the one time I need it will be on a hex bolt/nut bigger than 10mm that's stuck enough to break it (the use case for an extra-long box end wrench I don't own). I've never needed a bit driver in this format - maybe that's my problem, judging by the Torx comment above.

I work hand tools everyday, and this is something I never thought I might need. Now that I see it here on sale, I'm beginning to imagine possible scenarios to use this.... the miracle of SD
