TMo executive board meeting:
"So, there's this Mint Mobile company that's using our network but charging a lot less. What should we do?"
"I dunno, copy their intro promo?"
"I dunno, buy them out with our $$$?"
"How about both?"
"Nice job, Johnson. Time to hit the bar, everybody."

No CC required. I think no address required either...it's very easy sign-up!
New user is new IMEI (device not used on the T-Mobile network).

Hmm, I have a phone that's never been on T-Mobile's service, but has been on Mint. It's not letting me get this promotion. Anyone else having this problem?

I am going on a royal carribean cruise, you thing this would be great in other countries vs att plan?
If you are on a ship that has phone service on-board, make sure you stay connected while at the ports, and not to one of the antennas on land. I have a friend that made that $120 mistake (international roaming).

Why does wiki say that Pixel 3 (and a bunch of other Pixels on list) is eligible? It's not a 5G capable device. (I tried setting one up with this deal and no go, as expected.)

But were you able to port out a phone number after that? Or at least to keep it with a paid plan on T-Mobile?

If I my bring my own unlocked device, will it lock the phone to T-Mobile carrier? I don't want to get locked in to their system and wait for unlocking.

T-Mobile has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It doesn't surprise me that they have to resort to tactics like this in order to woo customers.
Also, in case you didn't know, T-Mobile is closing most, if not all, of their physical stores. For people that have simple, easily solved issues, this isn't a problem. However, for people with technical issues, older folks who need 1 on 1 help setting up a new phone, etc, this is a problem. The only time I ever got real help was in a brick & mortar location. We left when they started throttling the assistance that in store employees could do to help & started forcing customers to go online or to call. All we needed to do was apply the nurse's discount to our account. Instead they closed our account, opened a new one, failed to transfer our phones & all promotions that we had along with it. They strung us along for 2 weeks attempting to fix their problem, each time giving us a different story and outright lying to us about what they did that caused the problem. They never remedied the problem they caused & we ended up closing our account & going to Verizon.

It says no tethering but I was able to use my phone as a hotspot. It came in real handy when Comcast went down for 4 days while they were "upgrading" the network.
Oh really. I was searching for the information related to hotspot. i want to use it on my laptop some time. Good to know that i can use hotspot? Thank you for the information.

I worked at a T-Mobile call center around 2014-2015. They trained me to put the customers first, and do the the right thing. UNFORTUNATELY… Most American's are entitled assholes. They yell and scream at you for anything. If you have a bad experience, blame the public, not T-Mobile.

Be careful if you are on Android. This farking thing will try to hijack your phone after a period of time.. The first time it offered me the ability to switch, but then It started trying to force me to reboot and switch 2 weeks into using the trial. And you couldn't dismiss the menu, It would stay locked on the screen, You couldn't go back to the home screen or do anything else but go into the emergency dialer... from there you can quickly jump into the phone settings to disable the E-sim...
