TMo executive board meeting:
"So, there's this Mint Mobile company that's using our network but charging a lot less. What should we do?"
"I dunno, copy their intro promo?"
"I dunno, buy them out with our $$$?"
"How about both?"
"Nice job, Johnson. Time to hit the bar, everybody."

No CC required. I think no address required either...it's very easy sign-up!
New user is new IMEI (device not used on the T-Mobile network).

I did this trial, mainly to use the data. The amount of spam calls I received was ridiculous. I turned it off the last month and decided to just pay for data on my main sim. The person who had the number before me evidently owed a lot of health care people money.

Sadly hilarious. Yet I wanted to activate my tablet on my existing plan and they made me drive to a corporate store and wait there an hour because I had to "prove" who I was to them. Absolutely ridiculous security priorities with these clowns, but too cheap to change.

I worked at a T-Mobile call center around 2014-2015. They trained me to put the customers first, and do the the right thing. UNFORTUNATELY… Most American's are entitled assholes. They yell and scream at you for anything. If you have a bad experience, blame the public, not T-Mobile.
I blame your employer, they are the ones putting you in that situation. Most of the bitching you have to deal with is because your pink corporate overlords are too busy continually cost cutting their security protocols to give a rat's ass about end users. To top it off, they now try forcing a $35 fee every time you try getting one of their badly paid Filipino call reps to activate something. A $5 monthly watch plan requires another $35 from you. But hey, the $25 we may eventually get back from their exposing our social security numbers, home addresses and phones will almost pay one of these activations…..

Although the Motorolas run hot, you'd be better off with an instantpot

I too, had a terrible experience with T-Mobile. Billing overcharges. Incorrect equipment. Rude, incompetent call center and in-store employees. T-Mobile teaches their employees that the customer is always WRONG!!!!

Worked great for me, seemed to end before 3 months though. They didnt try to force me to keep it or anything, it was just not working one day. I have tracfone pixel 4a 5g. You could switch between the two sims. kind of wastes 3 months of tracfone service though, oh well.

I've worked 20 plus years in retail and customer service. I know how cruel & vicious customers can be.
Maybe in 2014/15 T-Mobile not only better trained their employees. I let the nonsense with my bill go on for two weeks because I know that mistakes happen and was doing my best to give them the benefit of the doubt. After two weeks I finally got an agent who was honest and feed me excuses and give me the run around. They closed my old account & opened a new one so the associate could earn a commission. It was 100% unnecessary. But because of how she completely closed my old account, they were having problems transferring over my phones, my promotions, everything. So, I was getting billed for my phones on the new plan and because the old plan closed out, I was sent a big, fat bill to pay the remainder of my phones off. None of that should have happened.
So, no, I am blaming T-Mobile. They hired & trained these associates. T-Mobile also chose to limit what an associate in a brick and mortar store could do, forcing customers to call or go online. My in person experiences with T-Mobile were always good. It's a shame they decided to close physical stores — they lost their best employees.
Sometimes the customer is a demanding jerk and is to blame. And sometimes the customer has a legitimate complaint.
