My Garmin didn't have a light sensing backlight though, so I do prefer that from my Bolt.
Wahoo recently fell into some financial troubles. They may not be around to support this thing much longer.

Btw - I love USB C, as well, but Micro USB is not a deal braker for me. At $700 for the 1040 Solar it would be a deal breaker, but def not for a $200 Wahoo.

It definitely is a great device to log miles, use with a garmin varia radar if you're into that, and supports displaying electronic shifting gear info. Cheap ones won't have these features.
I own a bolt v1 and haven't found any need to upgrade it because the above are all the features I need. I upgraded to the bolt from a cheap iGPSport computer because I wanted to have an on screen map. But really I have only used it a few times. I don't do many rides where I would need guidance. But I do love how easy it is to customize a page to display the data you want and you can squeeze in like 10 fields per page.
The Roam is also a little big for my taste. I will be sticking with a Bolt. I'm considering going to Garmin if Wahoo never resolves the report of gear usage, and also because I heard Garmin edges can put a hair more functionality out of my Varia, and it can put my Dfly buttons on my Di2 shifters to more uses.

Also, with SRAM purchasing Hammerhead, the Karoo and future units are going to be real competitors. I'm thinking that if Wahoo does fall on financial hardship, that more likely than not some other bike parts manufacturer would swoop in. Shimano would be an obvious possible suitor considering SRAM now owns Hammerhead, but companies like Lezyne and maybe even Garmin, themselves could be interested (depending on what patents Wahoo holds). Regardless, I'm doubting Wahoo just fades into the sunset... but I do agree, there's more of a risk of Wahoo failing than either Garmin or Hammerhead.
And with all that said -- $200 is STILL tempting for a brand new GPS bike head unit (with color) and updated national maps!
Thanks for the other info, I'm gonna stick w/ the Garmin head units too.

Also, the extra $50 bundle with the sensors is an especially good deal, as the bundle typically runs you an extra $120 on top of the computer (or $130 for the sensors individually).
