I have the older 600cfm backpack as well as this one. The 765 is noticeably more powerful and easier to pick up and use. The backpack has the obvious ergonomic advantage, and I have used the 5 and 10 ah batteries. I added a shoulder strap to the 765, which helps if the weight is an issue. If I were buying now, I would go 765 + strap or wait for a more powerful backpack (800+) to be released.

Great price… still waiting to hear from someone that had the backpack blower and tried this… very curious if there's much of a difference. I have a big yard and need the 7.5 battery, so trading the convenience of the backpack for the weight of the battery needs to have some good performance improvements

I have the backpack blower and it is great since the weight of the battery and the blower is on your shoulders and waist. It is excellent when I will use it until the battery is fully exhausted since putting it on and taking it off takes a moment. I prefer handheld units for quick jobs.

I also have the 765 and it is a beast with more blowing power than the backpack blower.

I have the backpack battery link which holds the battery with a cord to the 765. This takes most of the weight and the cord is long enough to use in either hand.

I have used the backpack blower AND the 765 simultaneously for insane blowing power. I have a lot of leaves and using both blows a LOT OF LEAVES. When I do this the 765 is heavy since it has the battery onboard.

The Ego 765cfm blower hardly ever goes on sale. Down from the usual $330.

a.co is a legit link from Amazon. I'm sure Slickdeals is adding some sort of tracking on top of the link from Amazon.

Great deal, love mine, selling my 650 backpack. No need for it, unless you're out there going through an two or three 5ah batteries.

I have the 650 CFM Ego and upgraded to the 765 recently. Not gonna lie, pretty disappointed. I can't tell any discernable difference in power, although the ergos on the 765 are better imo (better stand/legs, better constant power switch etc.)

Do you mean this one -

I tried the 765 and the battery barely lasted 30 minutes or so on medium speed level. I did not use trubo or high speed. I had to return it and cannot justify $330 price with that efficiency.

I have the back pack and this one and there is very little difference if you need it I would say buy it. Don't buy it to upgrade unless you need a extra battery because this is not much more powerfull. Ego customer support has gone downhill in the last few years .

I have the EGO 615cfm and honestly, I'm quite content with that. Also have the EGO string trimmer. Trimmer came with 2.5 AH battery and charger.

I have about 12,000sf to mow so not a huge yard but I'm able to trim all the areas the riding mower can't get to plus along the house and fence. I still have enough battery left to blow all the grass clippings off the driveway and sidewalk (admittedly I don't have a huge driveway). All that with one 2.5 AH battery. The 5 is heavier and the trimmer is clumsy enough without adding more weight.

Just my 2 cents. YMMV.
