an OK jrpg. seems to not even reinvent the wheel, so gameplay is lost in a sea of similar titles. music is dope tho

It looks fine but it just wasn't fun or compelling in any way, I dropped the demo pretty quick too. Which sucks cause I was excited based on loving the series on Ps1

SO2 was my favorite and made me actually excited for the next installment. It was...okay. When SO4 was announced, I thought, "this must be a return to form." Preordered, waited, played for 1 hour, and uninstalled. When this one was announced, I just waited. It's a really sad demise for a once exciting game.

I bought it on first release because I was a SO fan. I didn't even have high expectations, but the game still disappointed.

My biggest complaint is a large open world with not much in it. And story only lasted 20 hours.

They manage to cheap out the game and tell Players to play as Another Character through out the same content with a "different perspective " to get 40 hours out of the game...

This game should be $20 at most

I loved star ocean 2...I looked at the graphics on Amazon's images and... it looks very last gen. What happened?

This was my personal GOTY last year. It's a great jrpg and is one of the better star ocean games. If you're a fan of the series, you will love every second of this one.
