Weird that they specifically claim it is "True 4k and not double 2k" but in reality it is still pixel shift with 1920 × 1080 native resolution. Doesnt really matter as everyone knows UST projectors are never True 4k, so makes it weird to claim.

Just note that since it uses pixel shift, it requires everything play at 60Hz, even if you have a 24Hz material. Also all of these 4k pixel shift projectors have half the contrast due to the overlaid pixels.

Not for gaming but good overall reviews for movie watching and it does support 3-D.

Any thoughts on using this for an outdoor setup? Looking for a backyard solution that's quick to setup and take down and bright enough for some daylight.

Dolby Vision projectors weren't a thing until last year. AFAIK, the only brand that makes one is Formovie, a brand I have never heard of(and it costs $3k, so a lot more than this V7050i). If one is in the market for a DV pj, probably best to wait competitor offerings. As for this Benq, it's fantastic. I purchased mine at the end of 2021 and it's been the best pj I've owned to date. Keep in mind that it requires an ALR screen and those can get very spendy. If you have small kids, I suggest sticking to a traditional ceiling mount pj and not this. Ask me how I know. LMAO

I bought this from the same seller last month for a little less. It was in the original box with only 4 hours usage. I am currently using it on a white wall and the picture quality is impressive in a dark room. I will purchase an ALR screen later on for better daytime viewing.

Pay attention to the size, because it was larger than I expected. The fan noise may be an issue at first, but I am now used to it. Only one spare HDMI port may also be a dealbreaker, but not for me. It also doesn't have a tuner for broadcast TV. You may also see rainbow effect in some subtitles.

I stream everything, don't play games and love the picture quality. My budget was under $2K and this is ideal for me. I will never go back to using a television after my experience with this projector.

There might be better portable options. I would not want to move this frequently. Not a UST, but the XGIMI Horizon Pro 4K can be mounted on a tripod and is portable.
