I think the title is misleading. The capacity is 268Wh, the inverter can output 600 watts. Title could make people believe it's 600w capacity which it is not.

I don't think it's misleading. Watts (W) is instanteous output and watt hours (Wh) is energy capacity. Similarly to how generators are advertised by wattage.

But that's because it's actually a generator and that's how many watts it can generate. Even though these are called solar generators they aren't generators and are similar to power banks
When you see power banks listed its by capacity not output
To be fair, the capacity (268Wh) is listed before the output wattage (600w) in the title.
Given the length of the title, on its deal card on the main page it cuts off before you even see mention of 600w.
Anyone looking to buy one of these should notice that first.

The title originally didn't have the 268Wh though and that was the issue. The title here was copied and pasted from the title on ebay which left that part out. We are all goid now

It's an unfortunate trend in solar batteries these days. You see that from more than just Bluetti. It used to be they were all 1 hr rating. 500w max - 500 w/h.
Inverters are a lot cheaper than batteries, so the marketing wank folks can post big wattage numbers all over without feeling the need to mention that it would only run 15 minutes till completely drained at that rate.

I agree with you that it could be misleading, but since I've done some homework in the past, I zeroed in on 268wh as the capacity and 600w as the max output. Anyone new in the market for one of these power stations would be confused and would need to do a little homework anyways to determine their needs.
What I can't tell is whether this is pure sinewave. If it is, pretty good deal.

I get that. But here in SD we are supposed to be a community so we should look out for each other. So it's one thing for a company to try to manipulate for sales but when we post here we should be posting the important information up front

Every time this deal comes out, the SD physics professors comes out and they start to lecture.

What? This is a generator because it can use a source of energy to produce power, and the source in this case is the sun (solar). Just like how generators that you think of use sources like gasoline or propane to generate power. The difference is this device also has a battery to hold that power. This thing doesn't include solar panels the same way other generators don't come with propane/gasoline.

So if I take only this machine and put it outside it will turn the sun light into power?

No. Because you need to buy the solar panels to hook it up to do that, and the panels are not included in this deal. Just like you need to buy fuel/propane for those other generators. Also, this Bluetti supports pass-through charging, per the description, so you can be charging outside and using the power for your devices at the same time.

So I get the solar panels and they capture light and then send light to this unit and then this unit generates electricity from the light that tge solar panels send it? Ok but why is the output of the solar panel in watts not lumens? Doesn't that indicate that the solar panel is generating the electricity from the light and then passing the electricity to this unit to store or pass through? Maybe we have a different definition of generate idk

Edit: It is Pure Sine Wave. More information at their website [bluettipower.com] for anyone doing some homework.
