$400 for 7 years is not enough for you?

serious Q

my $1000 iphone wont last 7 years for sure tbqh
FYI 55 dBA is not quiet, but I wouldn't expect that of a dishwasher for $400
2" of the depth is the Handle on the door. According to the specifications listed, the depth excluding the handle is 24 1/2". To see this specifications on the costco webpage, click on "View More" at the bottom of the specifications detail.

My last whirlpool only lasted 7 1/2 years. So, for $400 you're basically buying the convenience and hoping it will keep working. If you wanna spend $1200, you can get a KitchenAid.

My dishwasher location in my kitchen cabinets doesn't have a dishwasher (it's empty). Therefore I can't measure the existing dishwasher but I can only measure openings.

The openings dimensions are:
Height - 24 inches
Height - 35 inches
Depth - of opening (where the cabinets end) 24 inches
The counter (overhang the depth opening by 2 inches. Therefore 26 inches)

The dimensions of this dishwasher

Height - 23.88 inches
Height - 33.5 inches
Depth - 26.5

Do you know if this dishwasher will fit my opening? Will the dishwasher stick out?

KitchenAid is made by whirlpool so they'll probably last the same.

I bought the 3-rack KitchenAid version of this and most of the parts are the same as the whirlpool. What makes it quieter is the polyfill insulation. These things with extra tall tubs are harder to install than the older dishwashers. no room underneath and the box for the wiring was cramped, didn't come with knock-out clamp for power cord/wire.

I just replaced a 13 year old Whirlpool. The old one was still working fine, but the handle broke, and the parts were no longer available. Disappointing, but it had a good run.

Seeing as this dropped even further, requesting price adjustment. Gotta love Costco.

Love to know what a hybrid tub is. Too bad it's not all stainless.

It looks like only the inner lining of the door is stainless.

The 5 year old Whirlpool dishwasher that came with our new construction house recently started pouring water all over the floor. It's one of the higher end models with all stainless interior and 3 racks. Speaking of the racks the adjustment clips for the 2nd rack broke within the fist couple years and from what I found is a common problem. The ice maker in our Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working after about 2 years, or more accurately works when it feels like which is increasingly less and less often. I'm done with Whirlpool kitchen appliances.

Agree with just about all you said. The one thing I have found out is that these real quiet energy efficient dishwashers seem to have a big issue. There not that good at cleaning dirty dishes. One of the reasons they are quiet is the water pressure is less and they run longer. So in the end the don't seem to clean as well as a cheaper noisy one. I upgraded to a high end kitchen aid that is very quiet. I can stand next to it and hardly no it's running. The problem is it's crappy at cleaning dishes. Next time I'll ho back to a moderately priced one that may be noisy but actually cleans all the dishes.
