I thought I saw someone on Reddit recently say these get below $200?

I agree. Xm4 had 40mm driver and xm5 has 30mm. I'm sure they tuned xm5 to death to make it sound better but I'll take 40mm driver. Can't beat physics easily.

I'm curious about that myself. Which model are you referring to?

Secondipity is awesome. I've picked up 2 pairs of Sony headphones from them on eBay. They are always in like new condition.

Likewise, can vouch. Got 2 of these from Secondipity in prior deals and both were received in perfect condition.

If, like me, you take rtings' opinion as gospel, the previous version is better and about $50 cheaper. If they're out of stock now, wait until they replenish it. I picked up a dark blue set for $195 after tax the other day.

These headphones are excellent. I spent quite some time comparing them to the Apple AirPods Max and they are both very good. I ended up keeping the AirPods Max, but almost kept the Sony headphones instead. The Sonys are lighter and sound almost as good, but since I use Apple devices, I decided that the spacial audio and device switching was worth it. But these Sonys are awesome!

There was one time around Christmas that the eBay page allowed users to make an offer, and some people were able to get it for just under $200. It's not a regular thing as far as I can tell. Otherwise, $220 is about average for the sale price.
