I purchased this the last time it was on sale for $50 and I am extremely pleased.
I have it hooked into a Sony 2.1 receiver with two core series bookshelf speakers and it rounds out the system very nicely. I don't like alot of booming bass so it's not turned up much. Just enough to give the setup a nice well rounded full sound.
I bought this last time, I think it was 40. I'm very happy with it as well. Just note that if listing to it and the volume is low, the sub will think nothing is happening and go into sleep mode and turn off.

I also bought one of these the last time it was on sale and it sits very well in my AudioEngine 2 desktop speaker setup for my computer. As dep411 points out, it will shut off if the levels get low enough but here's the thing. If you're listening to your system that low then it's probably because you don't want to disturb your roommates/neighbors so in my humble opinion that's a good thing. The last go around some people had complaints about theirs being broken out of the box or not turning on with the auto-on function. Mine works great so far. Would recommend for the $.

Apparently, it's a feature 😇
An optional "Auto‑On" function puts the subwoofer system into power‑saving standby mode after about 2 minutes of no audio input detected. Alternatively, the "Auto‑On" function can be disabled, allowing the unit to be on whenever the power switch is in the "on" position.
I have one and like it. Bought it for $30 used but was in great shape. However, it's developed a constant low hum in the last few months. Does it plugged into several different outlets and with no other cables plugged into it. Also, the auto-on feature doesn't work with my newer receiver, so I have to keep it in the On position at all times.

I have seen this mentioned in the online review " "Auto ON" feature seems to be installed backwards. With the "Auto ON" switch in the OFF position I do actually see the unit drop into standby mode". Maybe you could try it.

Hmm, didn't know this was possibly a known issue. So, by putting Auto On in the "Off" position, do you mean just putting it in "On" position instead or "Auto On"? I do not see an Off position other than for the Power switch.

Yep and if you pause the video, it will go to sleep. I couldn't get it to wake back up either. I had to just leave it on all the time, which I really didn't want to do.
This sub is perfect for the small room I have. I just have one question, the receiver has a single RCA out for the sub, how does this subwoofer hokup to it? Get a L/R RCA split for it?

A single cable should work fine. The sub doesn't actually need a stereo signal.
I bought one of these on a previous deal. As others have noted, it's fairly susceptible to ground loop hum, and I can definitely hear it if the room is otherwise quiet. The auto on-off feature is also quite finicky. I'm still happy with the sound for the price, though.

Usually dual rcas on a sub are wired mono internally
