Everything I've read says this works with Makita tracks.
I use this set with my Makita.

Roughly the same price as Milwaukee's 55" track.
I like them.

I hope I get this in the garage and blended in with the rest of the family before my wife sees this. If she funds out there's going to be another surge of hobby lobby farmhouse decor here. Wish me luck
In a similar predicament, I've found that it works best to build large farmhouse style furniture with the tools, out of high quality materials, to satisfy both parties. Gives the saw something to do, makes the wife happy, and keeps the house looking custom.

Thx for the quick response.
Occasionally, I use my circular saw now. Not sure if this is "needed" in my red arsenal or not.

I install Cabinetry for a living… I use my track saw almost daily. It's Perfect for cutting sheet goods… I even use mine to cut long tapered fillers.

If this thing takes Makita rails (which are same as festool) then you can also opt for Wen rails for much cheaper. We've had the corded Makita for a few years in the shop and have 2 each of Makita and Wen rails that I've linked together to cut up to 14' slabs without issue. But we've since upgraded to the K85EC and of course that uses different mafell/bosch rails :-(

I was ready to drop $800 on the updated festool cordless with the thinner kerf blade. Can anyone comment if this hooks up to the festool vacuum and how this would compare?

Anyone know if this is compatible with the Bosch tracks?
I don't think so, but mafell saws should be :-)

Thanks OP. I picked one up and going to retire my corded festool. Tracks are almost the same, I just won't get anti-tip feature which is fine with me.
Same deal works for many other tools from this seller, including framing nailer. 20% off is a single use coupon, make sure you have all tools in your cart before checking out.

i build a fair number of houses and outdoor enclosures for our animals (we have a small animal sanctuary, with ~70 residents currently), i used to use a regular circular saw for ripping down plywood for roofing and T1-11 for siding... i've thought about picking up a track saw or table saw, the price just never seemed worth it for my specific needs. what i did end up grabbing rear handle worm-drive style saw... makes a world of difference ripping material.

i'm obviously not doing fine detail work though, so there's that. although i've ducted interior doors before (keeps animals out of the rooms, but lets air flow and looks nice than more gates) with a circular saw and they came out perfectly fine. i would've liked a track saw for that, but is what it is Smilie

I went for it and pulled the trigger on the full kit. $460 out the door for the saw, 6.0 battery, charger and pack out case. For context I thought the makita deal at $499 recently was good but this is a steal. This saw ranked very highly compared to festool and is $300 less. The makita I felt was underpowered and could not cut through 3/4 mdf without stalling. When I called makita they did recommend returning this as it could have been defective.
