I went into the Best Buy outlet in Kennesaw, GA and they had an 83 LG OLED G2 there marked for $2599 in excellent condition. They also had 20% off all TVs. So final price was $2158.39. YMMV on the 83 inch G2.
The 20% off is through this weekend.

they don't make an 83" for a80j, also that tv is discontinued, they cleared those out last fall.
For 83" sony, you are looking for the a90j, however that set is now 2 years old (same panel as a C1/G1) and the revision is supposed to be announced anytime now. So expect that a90j's to drop from the ~$4100 they sit at now to around 3k for clear out over the next 6 months (if they follow the same pattern the a80j did when its successor was launched)
Is 20% extra only for outlet stores or any Best Buy open box?
Only for outlet stores. They say they have too many TVs right now because of all the Christmas returns.
My G2 was brand new with the film on the front and 0 hours.
The mount was missing so either the store took the mount or the customer and then returned it without ever touching the TV.
So I won the open box lottery.

This was posted over a week ago. My outlet says it ends on 2/19. Most good stuff was already reserved when I went last weekend but might still be worth checking out if you are looking for a TV for a spare room

Last weekend when I went this tv was $4100.
I went back yesterday and it was $2600 before the 20% off

This is exactly what I told people would happen. Happens every year. I usually only buy open box TVs and only buy when Best Buy runs these open box promos. Maybe I'm just lucky but I live 2-3 miles away from a Best Buy outlet store. I will probably be in the market for another upgrade next year, can't justify replacing any of mine yet.., have bought too many TVs in the past 2 years

They extended it to another couple of weeks.
I got a 65 LG B2 at 758 plus tax.
