when gaming on 15in screen, 1080p is perfect and any more only degrades performance with little improvement. The real crime here is the bezel...its like from 1990
This is the only review I could find that has this screen: https://www.trustedrevi

Nonsense? Everything else on here could run a 1440 screen easily. But it isn't just that anyway. It's the response. 3ms is pretty bad on a laptop with these specs. I can easily live with the 1080. The nits are pretty bottom of the barrel with these specs as well. Overall this is a fine laptop, and there is nothing "wrong" with the screen, that is just the lowest common denominator.
This was just available for the same price. I expect we will see this or something as good or even better soon.

Costco does give you one extra year of warranty (Citi Costco no longer offers the double warranty), but you can get that with most credit cards these days anyway.
For the debate on the screen resolution, I do own a 16" gaming laptop with a 1440p screen which of course cost more than this Acer. While the higher rez does not hurt, I don't think it is a deal breaker unless you are so used to 1440p on this size screen that going back to 1080p is unthinkable. I think you need a bigger screen to really take advantage of 1440p (on my 1440p laptop I need to scale it 150% to make it really usable).

The real issue is the price point. In this cost zone, you have to compromise somewhere. The compromise may fall along the line of the screen, video card, or CPU. We just have to choose which one matters personally. If we agreed that we could not give up on the GPU...you know what I mean.
(By the way, in the referenced Legion on eBay, you may also be compromising on the vendor reputation. But that's another point altogether)
Nowhere it mentions 150w TDP. Also given its 5.5lb weight, there is no way it can handle it.
Still a great deal. Just don't expect too much.
