used mine for years, rips through everything for a compact size. Unless you're a professional, this is unbeatable.

This exact combo was 299 3 months ago. I bought it then and it is great. The stand is really short and it's hard to screw the saw into it. But the saw is great for baseboards, flooring, trim, etc.

I never screw mine into the stand, i'm not even sure why you would want to.

The way it's designed makes it nearly impossible for the for the saw to be removed by moving it forwards and backwards. So unless the entire stand tips over (in which case the saw is going with it) it's not going anywhere.

There's a little bit of play if you don't screw it in. So I just screw it in. I tend to play things on the safest side.

Yah.... Was hoping to upgrade my 10" kobalt due to the arbor shaft not being to hold 3/4 dado stack, not sure what 10" table saw deals to look out for anymore.

FYI anyone looking at this for diy, I don't believe you can use dado

I also have this table saw and stand and choose not to screw it together. I find that if I place the table saw on the stand and give it a little push from the front, the saw will back up into the stand hooks in the rear and will eliminate the slight movement. In my experience, the saw has never moved toward the front legs since pressure is always applied toward the rear legs

Correct you can't use dado on the Dewalt, but otherwise it's an excellent table saw.

I went with the 10" Skil for $300. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I did read/watch a number of reviews and was pleased with what I saw (ha!). Probably an 8" would be fine for what I do, but figure I'd rather go for the 10" just in case.

Was able to pricematch at HD using the chat/ text customer support. If you want to PM and pickup in store (vs getting it shipped to you), you'll have to go into your local HD for the price match.

Here's another option in lieu of using a dado stack that works with any table saw

I was thinking about that Stumpy Nubs video when I saw people complaining about dado stacks - but I think a lot of people don't want to be bothered with making multiple passes.

For me, even with a large cabinet saw, I'd much rather take multiple passes with a regular blade than take the time to swap in and adjust a dado stack. Unless I'm doing a whole heckuva lot of them, but then there's always the router.

Need to rip through 3/4 inch birch plywood, would a saw like this do the job? Tired of using a circular saw.
