This. Save money in the long run with a Brother laser printer. Also, block your printers from the internet so they don't do updates and find new ways around chipped inks.

Epson is a bad company. This deal thread should just be a big warning to everyone to avoid Epson.

Pay a little more and get yourself a laser printer and never look back.

I miss the Ricoh deals from a few years ago. Those things are tanks and were $130-$160 for all in one color laser.

The biggest pro of inkjet is printing photo's/art. I own both laser and inkjet

Pros of inkjet printers

Usually compact and great all-rounders
Better than laser printers for colour photos
Can be cheaper to buy

Cons of inkjet printers

Ink use can increase running costs
Slower to print black text pages than a laser printer

Pros of laser printers

Superb at printing black-text documents
Fast printing speeds
Low toner running costs

Cons of laser printers

Expensive to buy
Can be bulky and noisy
Can struggle with images and colour

Fyi: the wf 2960 does not have a chipless firmware available yet. The 4820 and 3820 do. With chipless firmware generic and sublimation ink can be used possibly.
