So many SSD deals lately. I have buyers remorse the next day when a better deal on a different SSD happens! (And it WILL happen!)
and only 220TB TBW, quite low compared to even other QLC SSDs, and performance is also worse than cheaper Intel 670p

I just bought this drive a couple of weeks ago at $66, maxes out a Gen 3.0 interface. Crazy how cheap they're getting.

The 2TB P5 Plus is a killer deal. If I wanted a cheap 1TB Nvme with DRAM, I think the MP34 for $55 can't be beaten. Shiite, I paid $120 for a 500GB MX500 back in early 2018.

220TBW for this 1GB drive is a deal breaker. For reference, a Samsung 970 Evo plus 1GB has 600TBW.
Yes most users probably won't ever use up the TBW that's advertised, but still, low TBW is an indicator of inferior product and/or build quality.

The vast majority of people will never get to 220 TB.

This or the WD SN770 that's been $64.99 and I've been waiting to ship for weeks…all these NVME Gen 4 SSDs are confusing…

Exactly. It's hilarious to read these kids sweating over it being a bit slower, etc.

It would be somewhat strange if your motherboard claims to support PCIe 4x4 and the drive claims to support PCIe 4x4 and you see it not running at Gen 4 speeds. When you say that it maxes out at Gen 3, do you mean that you're using a utility (e.g. lspci in Linux) that shows that there's actually a Gen 3 link? Or that the drive just seems slow?

Every SSD deal post on SD should list the following:
1.) Will this work with PS5?
2.) What's the TBW for this drive and what's normal/average?

That having been said, the low TBW doesn't make this a bad deal. You're right that most users will never hit this. Still, it's something to consider when buying a drive, especially in this day and age, where a 1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD might not need upgrading for 10-20 years.
