This is an awesome fryer. Was going to post but you beat me to it. I have two, buying another for a friend. Best deal I got was 72 or so on a lightening deal like 2 years ago. This is a good price for it and it is the best version of the filtering deep fryers. The Kaloric version has a nonstic pot but I prefer the stainless. There is also a version made by Emeril Lagasse.

Cleaning:
After use let it cool then open the valve and let it drain completely. I usually check back a few hours later. Remove and wipe or wash the heating element. Remove pot and wipe out any fried bits. I usually use a stainless pad, soap and hot water to scrape off any buildup at the oil surface level on the pot and basket. Remove the handle from the basket and place the basket upside down on lower rack of dishwasher, place the pot over that, put the fryer cover like you would a plate next to that and throw the handle in the top rack. If you do this after each use you will not get buildup and it will look like new 5 years later. You will also be able to reuse the oil several times as you are removing all the fried bits that spoil and flavor the oil.

When the oil is in the plastic bin be careful moving the fryer as the oil pours into an open hole on top and can spash out if you tilt the fryer.
Do not overfil the fryer as if you do it will not all fit in the plastic bin and will overflow.

When pouring the oil back into the fryer be concious of the fact that it is basically a piece of tupperware with a removable lid. If you just up end the thing the lid could pop off so be careful.
When you are ready to toss the oil you can pour that into a container to recycle and then the plastic bin and lid can go right in the lower rack of the dishwasher. Don't loose the cap.
If you have not been cleaning your deep fryer and it is a discusting mess you can recover it by using a fryer boil out. Put your fryer outside somewhere, fill with water and throw a pack of fryer boilout (dishwasher detergent with phosphates) in it and boil it out for a few hours. It will losen all the goo and clean your fryer. You can alternatively use two dishwasher tabs. You do this with the basket in and top on the fryer. Fill it enough to clean everything without boiling over.Your going to leave it boiling, simmering for 3-4 hours. Use a stainless pad and soap to clean. After this major cleaning, follow the directions above and it will never get this bad again.

Great price and as long as you filter the oil and keep the unit cleaned, it's amazing what you can do with it .

This seem like an awesome fryer and good deal but telling myself air frying is better for my health. Be strong …

This is definitely a good deal if you want a really good deep fryer with a lot of room to cook in. The only problem I had with mine (before I put it away and decided not to eat fried food anymore at home) was that it was always leaking underneath. Sometimes worse than others, but there would always be some type of oil spill, also I can't tell you how many times I've pulled the drawer out and the top just comes off and oil spills everywhere. That's probably just my luck, as I haven't read this happening to anyone else. as a fryer itself it's fantastic, probably the best fryer I've ever used just in terms of heating up and frying food. Like most fryers though it's not very good with cooking completely frozen food, so keep that in mind if you're going to throw in a rocksolid eggroll it may come out looking golden and delicious on the outside while it may still be cold on the inside. So you wanna have your stuff at least partially thawed. as far as the actual idea to be able to reuse the oil, yes it's pretty good but sometimes the drainer system gets clogged up and you have to take the whole thing out and clean it. It's really good for reusing oil as you can get about 6 to 8 uses out of the same oil.

on a personal note though, I don't recommend buying deep fryers because it contributes to an unhealthy lifestyle, it makes you want to deep fry everything once you start and especially with the system and filter in the oil it makes it very tempting to use over and over again. The product itself so definitely an A-. The good outweighs the bad for sure. And with the price that this is right now, I would even bump it up to an A. I paid about 150 for mine a couple years ago and even at that price it is worth it because the little crappy ones you get for 25 bucks or just horrible. They're tiny and poorly made, this one is very well-made very solid and very substantial and build quality, and it does exactly what it says it's going to do!

Presto Fry Daddy all you need. Less oil, the temperature is right for everything. Smaller size, but cooks fast.
