Some will chime in to say this has been lower, and it has, but those deals have typically been based around the lead-up to Christmas and who knows if we'll ever see them again. Buying this at $99 is not overpaying, IMO, it's worth that and more. Exceptional kit.

I have this drill. It will drive 4" screws into pine. It's faster then my 18v impact.
It is small, but powerfull.

"Things" is awfully vague but I can say with confidence this kit is sufficient to do at least 80% of the things.

I am confused which drill/driver to buy for my DIY's. Is 12V sufficient to do things?

Dammit Slickdeal. I swear I'm not going get into another battery platform but this deal is interesting. I know someone with this kit and I played around with it. I'm impressed with how small and powerful this driver is. I still love my m12 but damn tempting for $99. MUST RESIST. But I'm probably going to run to Lowes now Smilie

Love this kit!! I have lots of 18V Ryobi tools and some older Milwaukee 18V but for 90+% of my home drill/drive projects these are my go to.

I rebuilt my deck with my dewalt 12v tools. The only thing I couldn't do was drill into masonry, I had to use my xr hammer drill for that. Although maybe dewalt makes a 12v hammer drill.

I've had this kit for about 7 years and I really like it. For DIY projects around the house, I reach for it 80% of the time because it's compact and feels like an extension of my hand.

BUT if I only owned One cordless set up, I'd go with 20v. Because it will have more power, more RPMs and the versatility of a 1/2" chuck that I need the other 20% of the time.

For $50 more you can get Milwaukee gen 3 set and their M12 platform has many more useful tools for around the house project.

I agree with the previous points regarding the quality and light weight of this Bosch set. IMHO the best recent deal for a DIYer was for the Metabo drill/impact driver combo for around the same money. But to each their own. These are small and a good deal if they meet your needs.

I've had this set for years. It's fantastic around the home - I used it to put up a bunch of gladiator tracks in the garage and I built a bunch of platforms out of 2x4's using this set. Liked it so much I've given a couple as gifts.

I got a reconditioned Hitachi 12v drill+impact set for $70 around 2012, and it's been going strong through many projects around the house. Still my fav today.
