I use the mini 3 much more. The mini 3 has the option to come with the RC controller, which is a game changer. I bought the mini 3 pro new, got the Mavic 3 w/ flymore combo used on Craigslist for 1k. Was able to activate dji refresh on the Mavic 3 also.
For this price, I'd stick with the mini 3 pro. Much more compact for ease of setup and travel. The only good drone is one you put up in the sky, and I put the mini 3 pro up much more then the Mavic 3.

Is this a hobby or professional use?
As someone who was into drones before you could buy one that was already assembled and hadn't flown one for a number of years I recently purchased the mini three pro and I cannot get over how ridiculously good it is in comparison to my first gen drones - for the price I don't see how you can go wrong
Part 107 certified. I'm new to the game, that's why I bought the Mavic 3 to make sure I always had something to put up, and if I needed the quality I had it. I've done a few shoots for friends and family always brought both ended up using the mini. Sure there is a quality difference but rmls listings, youtube, reddit all do their processing so quality takes a hit and I cannot tell a difference.
I'm considering upgrading from the DJI Air 2S for lower image noise and a more stable flight in heavy winds.
