Still good for 1080p 60fps (as long as you're not playing any unoptimised trash by DEVS WHO CAN'T BE F**KING BOTHERED TO--)

Why not?? Your T3600 should work with any 6600 without a sweat.
You have 2x6pin pcie connectors and a 635W PS??

The sweet spot I would do for a T3600 would be a RX6700 (non-XT). It draws about 200W max and around 180W if you undervolt it a little bit. It will take full advantage of your pcie-x16 lane (vs x8 lanes only RX6600/6650XT) for that last bit of performance you can squeeze out.
Or just get a 6650XT as it goes on sale more often and more choices than a 6700 non-xt.

Always ends up with black screen after amd driver installation. No idea what's going on. Yes, 635w psu and 8 pin. 😭

Do a safe mode+repair. Then use DDU (run twice) to remove everything. Then reinstall AMD driver. No reason it won't work. Last resort wipe/reinstall windows from scratch.

Thanks, Will try this. Really wanted to make 6600 working, it's similar price point as 1660 ti with much better performance.

Tried a few times with DDU in safe mode, still no good. Wondering if something the old bios is not working with AMD driver. Played with the couple setting and no good either.
Clean windows install would be too much work. Waiting for Nvidia card price drop Confused

I too had issues with newer AMD graphics cards in old motherboards. An RX 5700 xt in an ancient LGA1366 motherboard would not display anything no matter what. I thought it had something to do with the cards requiring a modern UEFI or something that the motherboard simply didn't have. The t3600 supposedly has a UEFI compatible motherboard so maybe it can be made to work?
