The hood doesn't have a cord, nor any velcro or button snap. In wind, hood would turn into a parachute trapping even more cold air that you wouldn't want. Therefore, I am out.

Be ready to wait forever for your shipment. Their customer service is almost non-existent. I will never make this mistake of ordering at Perry Ellis website again. Also returns are not free unless you exchange - for which you'll probably have to find a way to connect with their customer support. Good luck!

For $27.99 I'll roll the dice that at this point I know my jacket size. If it doesn't work out I'll turn it into a sleeping bag for my pets.

I guess you didn't see the built in zipper you can tuck the hood away into. The designers did such a good job you didn't even notice.
