No, it's not SMR.
You're going to get a white label 7200rpm drive that is most likely a sealed helium and may or may not need the PWDIS 3.3v mod depending on the particular drive model you get and what PSU you have in the destination for this drive.
These are usually quiet (and quieter than Enterprise drives) but it is possible you get a variant where the noise bothers some people.
The 14TB EasyStores had at least 2 different drives ship inside, it's possible this has multiple options as well. That's part of the risk you take when buying an external (at a discount) and shucking.
Does SlickDeals work some sort of deal with Amazon for something like this?
