I just tested all 4 games on my Surface Go 2 (m3-8100y, 8GB) with Windows 11 Home, and all 4 games working flawlessly. Some noticeable points:

Steam would pop up a window to let you select from three modes for each game, including:

Current Steam version (I played this one, and it works out very well)
Multiplayer version
Legacy version

When you play Commandos 2, Steam would prompt you to install Direct Play. After the installation, everything works out as it should.

Thanks, just bought five copies, so that everybody in my family can play together on the LAN. I missed this game as a young man, since I was out of the country for two years starting in 1998, but it sounds like it would be right up my alley.

There is a HD remaster of these also available on steam that run well on modern windows. Unfortunately the remasters are not in this set.
