Check the accuracy by setting it on a table, note where the bubble is, then spin the level around and see if it reads the same. If it does, you have an accurate level.

Pretty hard to trick water into doing the opposite of what it naturally does.

The bubble in the level tube is only accurate if the level tube is installed parallel to the level surface. If it's off by a couple hairs you cannot trust the bubble.

Consider percentages, not dollars. If you save 25% off every item you buy, that adds up fast. $10 off a $1500 TV would trigger your 'setting', but is a worse deal than this level.

As funny as that comment was meant, I did once encounter a TV wall mount with a built-in level. Went by that and it was in fact crooked. They must've printed the marks on the vial in the wrong places when calibrating it.

So, while the water was spot on, the marks weren't. Cheap POS 💩
