Why do people listen to vinyl? I don't get it. Just go online lol
Honestly, I am not a fan of vinyl either (I have been having a great time buying cheap used CDs!), but one thing that is hard to argue against is the experience of a record. You get a big piece of tangible art work. You are more involved with playing a record having to put the needle on your preferred track or flipping the record over. I prefer CDs though, but I try not to be a Debbie Downer. From my understanding the only hi fi competing streaming service is tidal. I just don't like a consumption business model where when your money runs out you are left with nothing.

It's an experience. I vibe if you will. It's something you can touch. A physical part of music history that you can you can have for next generations of your family to have something to go through lol. It's like having an a real book as opposed to an ebook it's just not the same. And of course on of the most memorable parts the cover artwork. It's just music memorabilia l/collectables. Of course the people that collect still stream before anything.

There's a lot of older recordings that have better dynamic range on vinyl. I mostly listen to metal so some older 80s albums on CDs did get good releases but remasters or reissues can have more dynamic range compression. It's probably different now though since a lot of vinyl is straight from digital sources. CD and digital has the potential to have better dynamic range but a lot of the times, it doesn't, even if it's something like 24 bit 96kHz.
