S95b 65 inch was $998 just two days ago. It was often on sale for $1200-$1400.

77 A80K or A80J? imo 77 all day, the QD OLED gets a little brighter and produces certain colors better but Sony is very conservative with pushing the panel especially because its a first gen panel. This is why Samsung ended up pissing a lot of people off by continuously changing the PQ with updates, pulling back the brightness etc, the A95K has stayed pretty much the same to my eyes. I would say keep the 77 and watch this year or next few years for a meaningful upgrade.

Agreed. No substitute for a larger panel. I myself got a 65 A80j and kind of regret not getting a 77 incher. Currently waiting to upgrade to a bigger size, either G3 or A95L , depending on how each one reviews.

These BB price drops often make for a enticing drop in the open box prices at the same time. My local BB has an "Open box fair" 65" available for $1,670.99. Missing remote and manual, which isn't the biggest deal, but of course no idea on any other damage there might be, or burn in or screen hours.. But tempting to make the 30 min drive to take a look for that price! Unfortunately there aren't any Open Box Excellent available near me as those are going for $1730 which is a great price if they truly are excellent "like new" quality.

And JUST when I was getting okay with waiting to see what the price and quality of the 77" S90C will look like when it's released...

Anyone have suggestions on where to stack coupons or cash back options for this at any of the other dealers?

I was ready to purchase an open box of these at Best Buy but after reading about the new A95L I'm hesitant.

I know there's always another version on the horizon but it really seems like they made significant improvements.

Have to wait and see pricing at least I guess.

Thanks OPI ordered open Box Fair condition I think it was the worst condition allowed to list but hopefully just some vital accessories are missing and screen is fine. Total came to just under 2000 after Ca tax

Fair condition unit seems in great physical condition except for a crack in the stand I'm indifferent about. Don't suppose anyone can tell me how to get into service menu to view how many hours TV has been on since it left the factory?
