Sweet deal. I bought the $500 deal awhile back, but this deal is better. 16gb and touch screen. I'd say it's worth it.

I bought this a few months ago when the Open Box-Excellent price was like $780.

It's worth every penny. It's fast, the battery life is decent, and the screen is amazing.

Only real downsides though are non-upgradable RAM (though 16GB is enough for 99% of users), and only 1 USB-A slot. I know the world is moving to USB-C, but I've already run into a few instances where I needed two USB-A slots. I use a wireless mouse, which takes up 1 of the slots. Then sometimes I need to use a Smart Card reader, which is also a USB-A slot, so I have to unplug my mouse to plug in the Smart Card reader.

That said, the included trackpad mouse is fantastic.

I bought it around the same time and have the same complaints. RAM is low but it's mostly acceptable. Screen is gorgeous. I upgraded to a 2TB SSD & bullied mine into accepting a Windows 10 dual boot.

Are you happy with it for a $700-800 machine?

Very very happy. I'm pretty picky with my laptops as I usually keep them 5+ years, and this one is everything I wanted. Performance is excellent, battery life is 5-7 hours, great speeds. I dropped in the WD SN850x (without heatsink) and it does everything I need. I will note that I'm not a heavy user, no video/photo editing or gaming.

This looks like a great machine, but it seems to include a giant power brick. Is USB-C charging not supported?

Review from Techradar for a near identical configuration

The Asus Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED is the best - but also most elusive - Ultrabook
The Asus Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED has the full package: great looks, handles work and play like a boss, thin and light, an amazing OLED touchscreen, a solid sound system - the list goes on. Too bad it's so difficult to actually buy one!

Q&A on the product page indicates that USB-C charging is supported.

How is the keyboard in this model compared to say a MacBook? I am looking for something to type a lot because of homework.

Too expensive for a 1.5 years old unupgradable laptop. 13th gen is out

If you need it now, sure go for it. But dont buy because it is a slick deal. It is not

Uhm, this was made available last summer. Not sure where 1.5 years old is coming from.
