I built mine on a flat carport and the roof still didn't line up well even after they sent me a replacement. Other than that it's relatively solid and pretty easy to build. I built it by myself in 8-10 hours.

The monthly Costco book is now a "front page deal" on Slickdeals?

What a joke! This site has completely gone to hell since it was bought by Goldman Sachs.

I'm all for putting in a little extra work when it comes to heating up food so I appreciate the feedback. Repped. I'll give them a try.
Refrig/freezers are not the best way to keep meat fresh. Refrig/freezers
thaw out ever so often and it deteriorated the meat. Best to store your meat is in a chest freezer that does not freeze and then refreeze. Also, you can double the storage life of foods usually 2-3x longer if you vacuum seal your food in serving sizes. I usually buy in large quantities and then vacuum-seal. Even better, buy a 1/2 cow or pig and store it in a chest freezer and you don't have to worry about prices jumping due to inflation. I I paid $3 a pound for beef and $2.75 for pork and it's a high-quality cut. It beats the hell out of Costco pricing

It's very funny to me every month there are people complaining about these posts. While I'll agree some ads can be lackluster, they are really just informative. If I go to Costco this week, it's nice to know what will be on sale coming up. I NEVER get the AD before someone else is nice enough to post it here.

Yup vacuum sealing has definitely paid off. Your saying a chest freezer is significantly better for long term storage? I had no clue. I unfortunately don't have space for chest freezer, just extra fridge in garage. I've seen people mention buying a half cow but honestly in south Florida I wouldn't know where to begin looking. Thanks for feedback.

Find a friend who does have the space and go in on one. I found my cow on Facebook Marketplace. The Freezer will pay for itself after the first cow you buy. If you buy a cow have them hang it for 3 weeks in a refrig environment as that will break down the enzymes and the beef will be more tender than what you are getting at a supermarket, and a lot of times supermarkets inject water into their beef to add weight to the product. Where I live (MI) there are times when people will place ads. I am in Orange Beach Al (snowbird) and I have seen farms in the county that have signs advertising cows for sale!

Free for me. I actually make money on my membership after the 4% cashback. Plus, Costco is cheaper than the closest grocery markets near me and is higher quality.
I ended up getting $460 back in my first yr with this card. It is worth it.

Yeah, Costco >> Sams. In general, the products at Costco are better quality. But on Every Single Costco thread, the Sams partisans always have to store crap and thread crap. I get it, I get it, I get it, they like Sams better because of whatever reason. Ok, that's great, enjoy Sams. It's getting like I should post the craps to the wiki on every new Costco thread to get it out of the way lol

Disclaimer: I'm a member of both Costco and Sams, but prefer Costco
I also have both memberships. They each have their plusses and minuses. In the past six months sams has been overall more competitive, imo.

My theory is because Costco pays their associates way more than sams, they have less wiggle room in pricing as inflation spirals out of control.

Also, because sams is far less busy and less popular than Costco, it's easier to find clearance items that haven't been sucked up by the flipper pricks.

There are a couple of things I like about Sam's: 1.) their on-line prices are the same as the in-store prices. You can search online and go to the store to pick up. 2.) The Scan & Go feature in the Sam's app is very convenient. You don't have to stay in the long lines for the checkout.

On the other hand, Costco doesn't publish their in-store prices. Once in there, you do get, from time to time, pleasant surprises when seeing some good sales.

They can be very tasty depending on how much effort you put forth - like you should thaw them in the fridge over night, nuke the patty separately then add the buns back and microwave it all for a bit to soften the buns, then add lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, pickles, etc...whatever you feel like. Or you can just eat it by itself and its still tasty.
Ha, ha, I go one step further. The meat is very good, but I toss the american cheese (yuke), then replace it with swiss or cheddar. I heat the meat in a frying pan, butter the roll then heat it also in the frying pan. The results are a great taste. I may be anal, & maybe have defeated the easy heat/serve purpose of the product, but the diference in taste, IMHO, is worth it, lol.

The inverter generator is back at the same price as last year. I used it for 3.5 days last week during a region wide power outage. It runs great on propane.
Roughly what wattage were you pulling from it and how many canisters / lbs of propane did you use?
I'd prefer using propane myself and am just wondering if I'd need another canister (or two)
