I never use electrical tape for wires - but I do use it to cover all of the stupid super bright led's that plague electronics these days
I have also used vinyl tape to attach a non-fitting hose to my miter saw's vacuum port. I recently used vinyl tape to attach a hose adapter to the inside of my Ryobi 3 gal cordless wet vac so I can fit a 3 gal vac bag. Worked well.
I'm thinking you can use the narrow tape to mark your stop point on a drill bit. Cover a squeeze bottle's hole, cover silicone tube for storage/reuse, cover electrical box holes if needed.
