Got it for $109 Like-New the other week. Can't complain; works great for gen3 board, has 2GB DRAM cache and 1,200 TBW (5-year warranty).

I think it's a good price and would make an excellent external drive if nothing else.

I recently bought a 2TB WD SN850x for $155 and use as an external, but given the chance to do it over I might buy this instead and save the $15. I don't think I'd see any difference as an external, regardless of generation or spec "speed".

In my opinion the deal for the SN850x right now for a little more is worth the price different, the performance is much greater for the delta in cost.

Totally agree! $10 more to get a premium(almost the best) Gen4 drive in the market!

Most Def. Even the sn770 is better and that's $10 cheaper. Not that this is a bad option, just there are better.

Will the SN770 run faster than this 970 on a PCIE 3.0 machine?
