It's a good price. Pros: seals very tight. Keeps smells in. Cons: the lid is very difficult to put on and take off. See tight fit note above.
Neutral: the fiddly insert inside is meant to hold the lit cigar, or knock off ash, etc depending on which bit you hit. None of which you're paying attention to while driving. The insert, thankfully, is also easily removed.
I prefer the Stinky brand cup holder ashtray with the flip lid. A lot easier to open and close. But it doesn't do even half as good a job at keeping the smell in. If a hermetic seal is a priority then this unit is best.

I can't figure out how to thumbs down the "no smoking in your car" crowd on the mobile app. cause I definitely would.
Anyway, I have this ash can and it's hella useful. It does EXACTLY what you'd want it to do. Not too difficult to ash a cigar while you're driving with this. Then if you stop anywhere it's nice to be able to place it and free up your hands. Seals ultra tight and holds odor. Enough space to hold 3 cigars worth of ash and butts. I got mine for free so I can't speak to the price other than to say having owned mine I'd likely buy it at $10. I'd definitely buy it at $5!!!
I have a fairly long commute to work and I burn one almost daily during the drive. The smell isn't as bad as others are suggesting. I'd much rather smell like cigar than cigarette but even the cigar smell dissipates after an hour. And my truck doesn't stink either! Windows cracked a pinch when I get out, ash can closed, by the time I get back in it's good.

You can't smell it because it's embedded in your olfactory system but believe me: others can smell you from feet away and your truck smells like smoke. Downvote in denial all you want but there's no question.

I''m not in denial- I clearly said the smell dissipates within an hour. The downvote was because on a cigar related deal, specifically for a cupholder ash can, there are people complaining about the smell of cigars and suggesting others should not smoke in their cars.
Furthermore, you don't know my use case scenario so speak for you and not for what you think anyone else is experiencing or should do. Buy the deal or don't.
I have one of these, and it's very useful. Unfortunately, the description leaves out a lot. When I bought mine, I hadn't even thought about it fitting in the car drink holder because I don't generally smoke while I'm driving. I bought it as a portable ashtray for the beach, park and just about anywhere. I don't leave a mess and I have a way to carry the ashes to a garbage can later. Also, the information leaves out the insert that lets you rest your lit cigar and can be used to put it out when you're done.
