Dark Forces II was a phenomenal game for the time. I had a powerhouse of a PC; a Pentium 100 with 16 MB RAM

I owned some of these games in the 90s, and now I own them today, but on Steam.

I'm not a big gamer but I'd really like to play these. No easy way to play them on a Mac?

Star Wars Jedi Knight : Dark Forces II was a life-changer for me. I'd just had my first computer for about a year and the only games I'd played were Duke Nukem 3D and Tomb Raider II. I found a used copy of Jedi Knight at a record store - memba when you could by used PC games? - and it was the first game I'd ever played with mouse and keyboard controls. The music and sound effects straight from the movies blew my mind. It led me to other games and wanting to upgrade my computer to better play them and picking up enough skills to get a career in IT which I'm still doing and I just finished my latest build.

Ironically, I never got that far into Jedi Knight and the primitive low-poly graphics which make Legos look round are simply too eye-saddening to ever go back and revisit. But I thank it for all it did for my life.

Can you play them with a controller? I heard Xwing doesn't work.

Half of these games I owned when they came out! Some real classics for sure, but in context to the era. I bought them all on GOG a while back (no DRM so my kids can play at the same time).

Even with the dated graphics, the XWing and TIE Fighter games are amazing with a flight yoke or joystick.

There are several you can play easily on Mac just by installing the Steam app:

Stars Wars : Dark Forces
Stars Wars : Knights of the Old Republic
Stars Wars : Knights of the Old Republic II
Stars Wars Jedi Knight : Jedi Academy
Star Wars Tie Fighter Special Edition
Star Wars X-Wing Special Edition
Stars Wars: The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition
Star Wars Rebel Assault 1 & 2
Stars Wars Jedi Knight II : Jedi Outcast

The rest you need Windows, which is very easy to setup on Mac using bootcamp - IF you have an Intel processor.
If you have M1/M2, you need the Parallels app, which currently costs $100.

Either Windows route requires a valid Windows key as well.
