The Prime Visa card gets you 5% back on Amazon and Whole Foods. I don't even bother keeping the card in my wallet, I just have it tied to my Amazon account and use it with Amazon exclusively. Some of the other cashback on that card isn't bad either. During special sales, Amazon sometimes increases the cashback to 10% on select items.

One advantage of ordering through Apple is that you can change the configuration, if you wanted to increase the ram to 16GB for instance.

I completely agree with not wanting to take advantage of a program you don't qualify for, that's how these programs get canceled.

If I remember correctly, the terms also say you qualify if you're purchasing for a student or teacher I believe, it's quite broad. You still may not qualify, but if you have a student in higher education and are purchasing for them, then you'd legitimately qualify.

I feel that in some sense, I and all my brothers and sisters on this Earth are students of life; each day we should endeavor to learn and improve at least a little. In my case, I think that I will always be a student of photography; it's a subject that can never be mastered.

But I can't help but suspect that's not how Apple means it.
