For sliding doors, you may want to look into something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Reversible...081HZDXR4/
Where the opening favors one side. Make sure you measure your door opening and you buy a product that fits.
I've used several of these screens in the past, and they all generally work well. But it's worth noting, considering the numerous sellers and brand out there, there are also varying levels of quality. The Harbor Freight item is probably the lowest priced one I've used and it is very "basic" quality. I have it installed on one of my doors now. It's very thin and the magnets keep falling off, but it works for my needs. While I've purchased other items from Amazon that hold together better, stronger magnets, etc. With that said, the HF one is worth getting to try. Just know there are higher quality ones out there.

My dogs are runners in and out. A kind like this lasted about 6 months, we would always have to reattach it till it was done for good . The yotache reversible is holding up for the last year and haven't had to reattach it once.

We have had a couple of these. They are priced well and if they get too dirty you can replace without breaking the bank.
We love it when we open up the house - and our cat and dog both go in and out easily. I like these 👍🏻

I had one of these and it lasted about 18 months before it had to be thrown away.
Thats actually pretty impressive. My townhouse next door neighbors put one on last fall, it started pulling off their exterior patio door within a month or so.
Incredibly thorough detail and documentation about your experience with the product. Much appreciated.
If you look at the product, it should not require much more documentation to determine it is not built to be a real long term screen door replacement. They are cheap screens with velcro and sticky tape. Tamper your expectations. lol
Edit: actually it mounts with thumbtacks after pulling it up to take a look. I'd be even less willing to put a bunch of little holes in a door frame I care about for a $10 screen.

Thx, this the actual feedback I was looking for. Forgive the snark. And agree with you re: thumbtacks.
According to Amazon, I have owned this since April 2019 and have had no issues to this date. At least for me, its been a great product. The sticky tape has not peeled off and the thumbtacks have kept the screen in place. I removed it once to bring a big item into the house and easily installed again with no issues. As a disclaimer, the screen only receives a couple of hours of sunlight and I have not pets.
I have an old sliding glass door with an odd size and track so I've gone with these screens for convenience.
They are ok. I'm happy with them for ease of use and keeping the majority of bugs out.
The issue is they just don't last. Expect a year. If you get more, great. If you get less, too bad.
For $12 it's a no brainer. For $32 it sucks and I hate doing it.
I will say that mine is South facing and takes a beating in sun all day. That doesn't account for all the deterioration, but probably does some.
I also happen to like the ones that open on one side, not in the middle. It works with a sliding glass door easier.

Has anyone tried using this with a glass sliding door?
Oh, I also want to add that if anyone has a Harbor Freight nearby, a (seemingly) identical product costs ~$9:
