FYI these are the old, crappy versions of their endurance cards that aren't rated for nearly as many hours as Samsung's (previous and current gen) cards. Sandisk's current models are called Max Endurance and include up to a 7 year warranty for the 256gb size.

Max Endurance actually has a 15 year warranty on the 256gb. The 128gb card has 7 years.

Ahh, good to know. It's been a few months since I looked them up. I wish they'd go on sale. I opted for Samsung's due to them being $30/256gb recently, but apparently their warranty process is next to impossible, so don't plan on ever using it.

None of these. These are more for security cameras and dash cams that are writing to the card 24/7.

I've been going through the order and return process on every micro SD card lately trying to find one that will work properly for my emulation Android tablet. No matter what I've tried so far, on budget end (V30 and below) I get micro stutters in Dolphin emulator. If I move the file/rom to internal storage, no issues.

According to some reddit posts with other people having same issues, the overall consensus is that Samsung is the way to go. I ordered this one last night, expected to arrive on Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes.

SAMSUNG PRO Plus + Reader 512GB microSDXC Up to 160MB/s UHS-I, U3, A2, V30, Full HD & 4K UHD Memory Card for Android Smartphones, Tablets, Go Pro and DJI Drone (MB-MD512KB/AM) https://a.co/d/3WAQ2Jc

I found Samsung's warranty periods weird as in they don't even cover their rated hours, at least for the Pro Endurance line. Their 256gb card is rated for 140k hours (16 years) or 128gb for 70k hours (8 years) but their warranty is only 5 years. Are you just out of luck for 11 or 3 years?

At least for Sandisk Max endurance cards, the warranty at least covers the rated endurance (256gb rated for 120k (13yrs) with 15 year warranty, 128gb rated for 60k (7yrs) with 10 year warranty). Even with the 128gb High endurance line, only rated for 10k (a little more than year) it has a 2 year warranty. (256gb only rated for 20k (2+ yrs) but only have 2 year warranty)

Haven't had a Samsung card fail yet. Maybe the warranty is wonky. SanDisk warranty may be better because you are more likely to need it.
(Anecdotal personal experience) SanDisk cards have a higher failure rate. Switched to Samsung, and so far, I have had great performance. I currently have a collection of old Samsung cards that still function but were replaced by faster higher capacity Samsung cards. Just my $.02.

I went with Samsung Evo Pro Plus, which has better speeds for my GoPro.
The Samsung claimed higher write and read speeds than the SanDisk.

The high endurance cards are for dashcams and security cameras, where continuous write and read are most important.

Would the SanDisk Extreme cards be better?
